Teton Dam Race Day

I have decided that I could be a professional running race watcher.  I always come away from races with a desire to be healthier and motivation to try hard things.  I love the running atmosphere.  It is so refreshing to be around people who have paid and trained to run the race.  The racers aren't there because they have to.  Watching races and actually running myself is so emotional for me, I think because I find so many applications to real life.

This morning was an inspiring one.  I packed up Hyrum and Afton and went to watch their Daddy run a 10k.  Some of Blaine's family members ran the 5k.  It was so great to start the day out being outdoors and cheering people on to their individual victories!  I was so proud of all of them!  Yay for race day jitters!

Baby Afton was all cozy as she waited to watch Daddy on the race course.

Hyrum enjoyed his muffin and playtime on the grass in the early morning sunshine.

Hyrum was excited to see his daddy running!

This is one of my favorite characteristics that Blaine has...to stop what he is doing and just enjoy being a husband and daddy.  He never seems to much in a rush, even in a race, to make sure we know that he loves us!

Jamie finishing her first 5k.  Way to go girl!  Blaine got to cheer his littler sister on as she finished the race by running across the finish line with her.

THE RACE FINISHERS

MY husband.  Yes that's right, this man is my handsome husband.

Jena's confidence to wear these pants is refreshing!  I am seriously considering getting me a pair of hot pink ones, maybe with hot green polka dots...no really, it's true!  Her little Zachary and Lyndon were there to cheer her on!

 Campbell, Jill and Dawson

Blaine with his family and our friends Donna and Grayson...all race finishers!

Events are always better if your mom is there to cheer you on!

 Little Lyndon

These feet ran a total of 27.9 miles, or 45 kilometers this morning!
