Because of our change of plans the second day of traveling (see part 1 of this trip for details) we didn't get to see as much of the Redwoods as we would have liked. Fern Canyon is on our list for the next time we get to visit the Redwoods.
But we did get to explore Stout Grove on our way out of Crescent City. The Redwoods are super amazing! Like phenomenally amazing! The trees are massive! Stout Grove was like a playground that Mother Nature herself made. We enjoyed exploring, climbling, and eating a lunch on a 6 foot in diameter tree stump. I loved seeing the shade covering that the leaves made over top of our heads. We ate some E.L.Fudge cookies driving into the grove, because we felt like little elves, compared to those BIG trees. We seriously could have lived in some of the trees there!
